Celebrating 40 Years as Your Local Stage on The Northern Beaches! 

In 2025 we honour our past and look to the future of Glen Street Theatre.

Built by the community for the community, the 400-seat theatre we all enjoy today opened on 6 July 1985 with a vision to provide facilities for community groups and attract professional theatre productions. 40 years on, Glen Street Theatre now regularly attracts over 65,000 visitors and stages close to 200 performances and events each year. It is safe to say the vision held by the passionate and committed community members who brought our beloved venue to life 40 years ago has come true!

The theatre has always been a place for the telling of stories.

Over the last 40 years A LOT has happened… on and off the stage! The walls can’t talk, but you can.
